H. Moser & Cie. has made the Pioneer Centre Seconds Sun Berry official, and the watch is not interested in quiet luxury. The new ref. 3201-1203 takes the smaller 40 mm Pioneer case and turns the dial into the main event: Berry Purple fumé in the centre, Electric Yellow around the flange, and a matching yellow rubber strap.
That sounds playful, but the base watch is still the practical Pioneer formula. H. Moser lists a steel case, sapphire crystal, 12 ATM water resistance, a rubber strap and the automatic HMC 201 manufacture calibre with 72 hours of power reserve. The price on the official product page is CHF 14,500 excluding VAT.
What launched
The Sun Berry is a simple three-hand watch on paper, but Moser’s dial language makes that simplicity feel deliberate rather than empty. There are no applied indices and no visible logo on the dial. Colour is the signature: a purple fumé field that darkens at the edge, sharpened by a bright yellow inner flange and a yellow strap that refuses to behave like a neutral accessory.
The point is not subtle matching. It is tension. The Pioneer case is normally the brand’s all-rounder, with enough water resistance and case strength to sit in the sports-watch conversation. The Sun Berry keeps that capability but changes the emotional register from restrained independent watchmaking to something closer to a summer object.

For collectors, the question is whether the watch feels like a seasonal novelty or a real Pioneer expression. The answer leans toward the latter.
