OMEGA used its official May 21, 2026 announcement to do something smarter than a routine tie-in. Instead of treating 007 First Light as marketing wallpaper, the brand turned the watch worn by the young James Bond in the game into a real production model: the Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph 007 First Light.

What OMEGA launched

The watch appears in the video game that officially launched on May 27, 2026, developed by IO Interactive in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios. In the story, Bond wears a Seamaster fitted with mission-ready tools, and OMEGA brings that fictional piece into reality as a steel 44mm Diver 300M Chronograph.

The headline detail is easy to understand: this is the first chronograph ever created within James Bond's Seamaster Diver 300M line. That alone gives the release more collector interest than a simple color refresh.

Design and mechanics

OMEGA gives the watch a polished black ceramic bezel with a white enamel diving scale, then doubles down on the ceramic theme with polished black ceramic pushers. The black ceramic dial keeps the laser-engraved wave pattern but adds a bronze-gold subdial ring at 3 o'clock, a bronze-gold central chronograph seconds hand, rhodium-plated hands and indexes, and a red Seamaster signature above the date at 6 o'clock.

Inside is the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900, with small seconds at 9 o'clock and a 60-minute plus 12-hour recorder at 3 o'clock. Through the sapphire caseback, OMEGA also adds a black-metallized 007 First Light logo, while the NATO strap carries dedicated 007 and First Light engravings on the keepers.

Why it matters

What makes this release strong is that OMEGA did not just borrow Bond imagery. It created a watch with a clear in-universe story, then backed it with a full ceramic-accented case package, a serious chronograph movement, and a historically new position inside the Bond Seamaster family. For collectors, it feels like a better thought-out franchise watch than most entertainment collaborations.
